Clinical Case
- Animal suffering from atopic dermatitis, keratoconjunctivitis sicca and cognitive dysfunction.
- The subject is referred to the rehabilitation centre following an acute episode of pain in the neck.
- Currently on NSAID, Tramadol, gabapentin, cyproheptadine therapy.
Clinical Examination
- Marked pain on palpation and passive neck movements
- Ventral neck muscle stiffness
- No obvious neurological deficits
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Protocol
- Laser puncture was associated with other analgesic therapies (Fentanyl patch, laser therapy and muscle relaxants)
- During the first two weeks, laser puncture was administered every day with an MLS Therapy Laser.

Results
- During the first two weeks the pain gradually decreased
- The patient showed a better response to laser puncture than to laser therapy
