About Dr. Lockwood
Dr. Melissa Lockwood
As founder of Heartland Foot and Ankle Associates, P.C., Dr. Melissa J. Lockwood happily returned to central Illinois in 2008 after seven years in Cleveland, Ohio. She is a graduate of Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox, Illinois. Dr. Lockwood completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois (Urbana/Champaign) in 2001 with a bachelor of science in biology and a minor in chemistry. Dr. Lockwood has a great interest in archaeology and also received a minor in anthropology from the U of I in 2001.
Dr. Lockwood has extensive training in both forefoot (bunions, hammertoes, neuromas) elective surgical procedures as well as rearfoot reconstruction. She has a special interest in the treatment of sports-related injuries, dermatological conditions and diabetic palliative and preventive care. Dr. Lockwood enjoys working with patients one-on-one in a clinical setting and chatting about her favorite sports teams!
About Dr. Molan
Dr. Kevin Molan
Originally from Long Island, Dr. Molan is a Graduate of State University of New York at Stoney Brook, Bachelor of Science, Biology. He has been an active member of the North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society (NCFAS) North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society (NCFAS) since 1996 and served as Vice President 2001-2002.
Dr. Molan and his wife Karen relocated to the Charlotte area in 1989, where he was in private practice until he merged with Dr. Miller and Kaiser in 1994, and together they formed Carmel Foot Specialists. Dr. Molan and Karen have three grown children and have recently become Grandparents with the birth of their first grandson in Nov. 2019.
