Liebelei, a horse with acute phlebitis to the left jugular vein

SPECIES: Horse
BREED: Hannover
GENDER: Mare
AGE: 16
NAME: Liebelei

Clinical case
Following incorrect iatrogenic movements, Liebelei developed an inflammation to the jugular vein. The examination confirms acute phlebitis to the jugular vein with clearly visible oedema and inflammation.

Therapy
A treatment plan with MLS® Laser Therapy was implemented, using the hand-piece for the applications and the “edema” and “inflammation (acute)” programs in scan mode every other day for a total of 3 sessions.

Results
MLS® Laser Therapy was used as a single therapy, without antibiotics or anti-inflammatories. The acute form was brilliantly resolved with only three applications.
