Study Objective:

This case study examined the effect of MLS on a 17 year old with severe lumbagia and radiculopathy. Patient’s progress was measure by Visual Analogue Scale, range of motion, and percentage improvement. Treatment was over the course of 7 months with laser sessions 3-4 times a week in the beginning with 10 minutes per treatment.

Conclusion:

The patient went from a pain level of 10/10 to 1/10 over the 7 month treatment period.  At the conclusion of treatment, range of motion was within normal limits and no pain was associated on any ranges. All orthopedic, dermatomal and muscle tests, including SEMG testing were normal during patient’s final evaluation.
