Clinical Case
Right hip osteoarthritis, hemilaminectomy surgery following L1-L2 disc extrusion, carried out two months prior to clinical presentation.
Referred to the rehabilitation centre due to delay in postoperative recovery.
Radiographic examination: right coxarthrosis
MRI: disc extrusion with L1-L2 spinal cord oedema
Clinical Examination
- Gait paraparesis, ataxia AP
- Scoliosis
- Sensitivity
- Bilateral proprioceptive deficit, left knuckling when walking
- Serious myotrophy to thigh and rump muscles
- Bladder and bowel incontinence
